Julianne Dardanes is an Associate Attorney at Ziliak Law, where she works under various practice groups including Financial Services, Business and Corporate, Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Media, Blockchain, Data Privacy, and Litigation.
Julianne previously assisted the Ziliak Law team as an intern from 2016-2018 while pursuing her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Business, Julianne ventured west to attend law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA on the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Julianne externed for the Honorable Anna H. Demacopoulos on the Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division, and interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois. Julianne also served as Executive Editor on the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Journal, where her article, “When Accessing Justice Requires Absence from the Courthouse: Utah’s Online Dispute Resolution Program and the Impact it Will Have on Pro Se Litigants,” was published. Julianne received her JD from Pepperdine in 2021, along with a certificate from Pepperdine’s top-ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Upon graduating law school and passing the California bar exam, Julianne practiced civil litigation at a law firm in Los Angeles, where her clients included insurance companies and a prominent rideshare corporation. Unable to resist the Midwest winters any longer, Julianne recently moved back home to Chicago, passed the Illinois bar exam, and was ecstatic to rejoin the Ziliak Law team in 2023.
