With years of experience working with organizations’ compliance needs, Farah Albazzaz brings a unique perspective to Ziliak Law. Farah’s practice focuses on the Financial Industry and Blockchain, as well as the Litigation and Business and Corporate practice groups. Through Ziliak Law, she assists clients in the investment management industry with a variety of matters and provides first-hand experience in technological and business innovations.
Prior to law school, Farah earned her undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. She graduated top of her class, summa cum laude. At Chicago-Kent College of Law, Farah clerked and externed at a variety of law firms, a market research firm, and at The Office of the Legislative Inspector General for the city of Chicago. As a law student, she was also exposed to several clinics through participating in a clinical rotation which included The Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, where she gained exposure to transactional matters. Further, through her participation in the Justice and Technology Practicum, Farah created a self-help resource (guided online interview) in order to explore the use of technology in the delivery of legal services to low-income litigants. After graduating law school, she joined the exempt organizations practice at Ernst & Young. With over three and a half years of experience at Ernst & Young, Farah worked exclusively with exempt and nonprofit organizations’ compliance needs, analyzed compliance with regulations, worked on compliance filing requirements of federal, state, and local governments, and enabled all kinds of organizations to apply for and maintain tax-exempt status.
Through Ziliak Law, Farah applies her experience working with a variety of small to Fortune 500 companies and broaden her range of services and knowledge to deliver optimal results to clients. In addition, Farah is available to assist with entity formation, regulatory compliance, business planning, and many other compliance issues companies face.
In her free time, Farah enjoys performing volunteer work, going to the local movie theatre, and hiking.
